Someone once said that an artist is only as good as his tools. I’m not the greatest of artists but there are tools that I used for the creating and maintaining my website. These are:

Blog & Business Tools

  • Google Domain – My domain is registered through Google but I prefer Bluehost

  • Bluehost – I switched from Squarespace to WordPress needed a web host. I’ve used Bluehost for years and it was my first choice. They have great customer service

  • WordPress: my preferred choice for website building.

  • Companies made simple: the website I used to register MPC

  • Buffer: My chosen social media management platform. I have a paid account and schedule everything from my personal Facebook profile to Pinterest

  • Dropbox: I use this for sharing social media photos with clients

  • Apple Pages: What I use to create my pdf documents and workbooks

  • Chris Backe: I had outgrown Squarespace and wanted to transfer to WordPress. This was where Chris Backe came and helped me. He is speedy and delivers quickly.

  • Lorna Morris: The lovely lady who designed my logo.

Blogging Products & Productivity

  • iPad Mini: anything small enough to fit into my purse wins

  • iPad case: I haven’t tested the waterproof properties of this case but it’s protected my iPad from many falls

  • Privacy screen: So many nosey people reading over my shoulder! Need one for Maxwell

  • Paper blanks notebook: because I love bullet journalling

  • Stabilo pens: I use them to colour coordinate my strategic plans…and for adult colouring books

  • Secret Garden Colouring book: Podcasts and chill

  • Amazon Prime account: Unlimited photo storage is apart of the Prime package

Plugins

  • Wordfence Security: I currently use the free one but I will upgrade to the paid version eventually. Every website need this

  • EWWW Image Optimizer: Photos with a large size can slow down your website so when I upload my photos, this plugin optimises my photos and the photos previously uploaded

  • Yoast SEO: I’ve been using this plugin for years for SEO

  • Jetpack: A WordPress essential

  • Akismet: The best thing to protect your blog from spam.

  • Google Analytics for WP: I like this plugin for it’s ease of use

Websites

  • Canva: how I create cute photos for my social media

  • Unsplash: where I find a lot of my photos
